Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 6, 2026
Grand Nasser Enterprises Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates TheLayoffRadar, including our website and our iOS and Android mobile applications (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Services.
A note on "anonymous." You contribute to TheLayoffRadar without providing your real name or email. However, your contributions are pseudonymous, not fully anonymous: they are associated with a persistent device identifier, your IP address, and related technical signals. We retain the ability to link and, where necessary, trace contributions to a device or network — and we intentionally do so — to protect the platform and its users from spam, fraud, abuse, and other misuse, and to comply with the law. Please do not include information you consider sensitive or personally identifying in your posts.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
When you use our services, you may provide:
- User-Generated Content: Comments, replies, poll responses, and predictions you submit pseudonymously (without your real name or email)
- Talent Radar profiles and messages: If you use Talent Radar, information you choose to provide — for job seekers, a job title, years of experience, and a free-text pitch; for recruiters, your name, company, email, phone number, and message content. Recruiter contact details are shared with the job seeker you contact so they can respond.
- Contact Information: Email address or other details if you reach out to us
- Enterprise Account Data: Business information for organizations using our enterprise services
1.2 Information Automatically Collected
We automatically collect certain technical information to operate our services securely and effectively:
- Device Identifier (mobile app): When you use our mobile app, it generates a persistent random identifier stored on your device. This identifier is your pseudonymous identity for posting, voting, following, and notifications, and it is associated with the content you submit. It persists until you uninstall the app.
- Push Notification Token: If you enable notifications, we store your device's push token to deliver alerts.
- Network Information: Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We store IP data associated with contributions and use it to prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats, and may access it to enforce our Terms or comply with the law.
- Usage Data: Pages/screens visited, time spent, interaction patterns, and feature usage
- Security Identifiers: Cryptographic hashes and tokens used for rate limiting, fraud prevention, and spam and abuse detection
- Cookies and Similar Technologies (web): Session management and preference storage. Our mobile app uses on-device secure storage rather than cookies.
1.3 Third-Party Sources
We may collect information from publicly available sources including:
- SEC filings and regulatory disclosures
- Public financial data and stock market information
- News articles and press releases
- Publicly accessible forums, social media, and community posts, which may include public usernames and the text of public posts, used to derive aggregate workforce-trend signals
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
2.1 Service Operation
- Providing, maintaining, and improving our platform functionality
- Processing and displaying user contributions
- Enabling community features like voting and commenting
- Personalizing your experience based on usage patterns
2.2 Security and Integrity
- Preventing spam, abuse, harassment, and fraudulent activity
- Enforcing rate limits and detecting automated or malicious traffic
- Detecting, investigating, and mitigating security threats and attacks
- Investigating violations of our Terms of Service and taking enforcement action, including removing content and blocking devices or networks
- Maintaining consistent pseudonymous identifiers to attribute behavior for safety and quality control
2.3 Analytics and Research
- Analyzing usage patterns and trends to improve our services
- Conducting research on employment trends and workforce dynamics
- Developing and refining predictive algorithms and machine learning models
- Generating aggregated insights and statistical reports
2.4 Business Operations
- Creating anonymized and aggregated datasets for internal analysis
- Providing enterprise analytics services to qualified organizations
- Supporting business development and partnership opportunities
- Complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
3.1 Enterprise Services
We provide aggregated and pseudonymized datasets to enterprise clients under commercial agreements. These datasets are derived from public discourse and platform activity and are designed to convey workforce trends at the company level, not to identify individuals. They may include:
- Statistical trends, sentiment analysis, and aggregated signals
- Derived, structured claims paired with links back to the original public source
- Technical metadata necessary for data validation and quality assurance
We do not sell datasets that are designed to identify you, and we apply source-length limits, staleness windows, and other controls intended to protect individual privacy. Enterprise clients are contractually restricted in how they may use the data.
3.2 Service Providers
We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist in:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure services
- Content delivery networks
- Analytics and monitoring tools
- Security and fraud prevention services
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for specified purposes.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law, including:
- Responding to subpoenas, court orders, or legal processes
- Protecting our rights, property, or safety
- Investigating potential violations of our Terms of Service
- Complying with regulatory obligations
3.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to the same privacy protections.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit and at rest: We use TLS/SSL for data in transit and encrypt sensitive data at rest.
- Protection of identifiers: We protect identifiers with cryptographic techniques and restrict internal access to them. We do not represent that IP addresses or other collected identifiers are irreversibly anonymized, and we may access them where necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents or to comply with a lawful request.
- Access Controls: Access to systems that can recover identifiers is restricted and authenticated.
- Monitoring: Continuous security monitoring and threat detection.
- Data Minimization: We collect only what we need for the purposes in this Policy and retain it only as long as necessary for those purposes, including security, abuse prevention, and legal obligations.
While we strive to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or business necessity. Retention periods vary based on:
- The nature and sensitivity of the information
- Legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations
- Business and operational requirements
- Dispute resolution and enforcement needs
User-generated content may be retained indefinitely as it forms the historical record of our platform. Security-related and abuse-prevention data — including IP data, device identifiers, and technical metadata — is retained for as long as needed to protect the Services and their users and to meet legal and regulatory obligations, even after a related account or content is removed.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Deletion
On the mobile app, your data is associated with your device identifier, so we can locate it. You may request access to, or deletion of, the data associated with your device by contacting us at the address in Section 12 (include your device identifier, available in the app). We will honor deletion requests where technically feasible, with limited exceptions: we may retain (a) data we are required to keep for legal, regulatory, or dispute-resolution purposes; (b) security and abuse-prevention data such as IP and device signals needed to protect the Services; and (c) contributions that form part of the public community record, which we may instead dissociate from your device rather than delete. We are building an in-app self-service deletion control; until then, please use the contact method above.
6.2 Content Management
You may delete your own comments within 10 minutes of posting. After this window, content becomes part of the permanent community record but can be flagged for review if it violates our policies.
6.3 Cookies
Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. However, some features may not function properly without cookies.
6.4 Do Not Track
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no industry standard for compliance.
7. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to our facilities and service providers globally.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
9. California Privacy Rights
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- Right to know what personal information is collected, used, and shared
- Right to request deletion of personal information
- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money, and we do not share datasets designed to identify you. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@grandnasser.com. Because contributions are pseudonymous, we may require your device identifier or other details to locate and verify your data before acting on a request.
10. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:
- Right of access, rectification, and erasure
- Right to restrict or object to processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to withdraw consent
- Right to lodge a complaint with supervisory authorities
Our legal bases for processing include: our legitimate interests in operating the Services and in protecting them and their users from spam, fraud, abuse, and security threats (which requires retaining IP, device, and related identifiers); performance of our Terms with you; consent where applicable (for example, optional analytics or push notifications); and compliance with legal obligations.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or business operations. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, through additional prominent notices.
